Jackie Chan hit, The Shadow's Edge, heads to the UK

Action cinema icon Jackie Chan (Police Story, Rush Hour, Karate Kid: Legends) stars in the Chinese box office hit, The Shadow's Edge, releasing in UK cinemas on 3rd October from Trinity CineAsia. This tense action-thriller is a remake of the acclaimed Hong Kong film, Eye in the Sky, now reflecting the radical changes in cyber crime and technology. The film reunites Chan with four-time Hong Kong Film Awards winner, Tony Leung Ka-Fai (Election, Cold War) and award-winning writer-director Larry Yang (Ride On).

BBC's Parenthood gets 4K release

Brand new BBC series, Parenthood, narrated by David Attenborough, comes home on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital from 8th September, and then 4K Ultra HD on 29th September, courtesy of Dazzler Media. The stylish, gritty Odyssey announces UK release

Icon Film Distribution presents Odyssey, the new feature from acclaimed director, Gerard Johnson (Tony, Hyena, Muscle). This month, the film has its UK Premiere at Edinburgh International Film Festival and London Premiere at FrightFest, before releasing in UK cinemas this November. Traffic turns 25 and returns to Blu-ray and DVD

The Oscar winning modern crime classic, Traffic, returns to UK Blu-ray and DVD from Dazzler Media, as it celebrates 25 years. Out-of-print on physical media for many years, it will be released from 8th September. From director Steven Soderbergh (Logan Lucky, No Sudden Move), the film boasts an all-star cast including Michael Douglas, Don Cheadle, Benicio Del Toro, Dennis Quaid and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Pakistan's first hand-drawn animation announces UK release

Dazzler Media is excited to announce that The Glassworker, Pakistan's first hand-drawn animated feature, will release across UK and Irish cinemas from 19th September. Also the country’s official submission for the 2025 Oscars, it marks the directorial debut of multi-talented filmmaker, animator and composer, Usman Riaz, working under the mentorship of Studio Ghibli and Studio Ponoc veteran producer, Geoffrey Wexler. The film stars the voice talents of British actors, BAFTA nominee Art Malik, RTS winner Sacha Dhawan and Anjli Mohindra.

Queer coming-of-age hit, Big Boys, scores UK release

Big Boys, a queer coming-of-age comedy about self-discovery, identity and attraction, is releasing in UK cinemas from 29th August courtesy of Icon Film Distribution. Bambi: A Tale of Life in the Woods is coming to cinemas

Bambi: A Tale of Life in the Woods will be releasing in UK and Irish cinemas from 15th August courtesy of Dazzler Media. A visually stunning, poignant new adaptation of Felix Salten’s classic novel, this beautifully filmed live-action story boasts immersive cinematography to bring this story to life. Inviting audiences to rediscover the legend of Bambi as never seen before, the film is helmed by writer-director Michel Fessler (March of the Penguins) and narrated by popular singer-songwriter, Mylène Farmer.

Jane Austen Wrecked My Life announces home release

Following its release in cinemas, Jane Austen Wrecked My Life is coming to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital platforms on 28th July from Icon Film Distribution. Starring Camille Rutherford (Anatomy of a Fall), Pablo Pauly (The French Dispatch), Charlie Anson (Death on the Nile) and Annabelle Lengronne (Mother and Son), it’s heart-warming throwback to classic rom-coms, which also coincides with the 250th birthday of the literary icon.

Girl from the North Country scores home release

Inspired by the legendary songs of Bob Dylan, the Tony award-winning Broadway show, Girl from the North Country, makes its way to 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on 21st July from Dazzler Media. Set in 1934 during the Great Depression, and underscored by reimagined renditions of iconic Dylan songs, the home release coincides with the show’s eagerly awaited return to London’s Old Vic theatre.
