Ne Zha, the animated box office hit which has taken the world by storm (even surpassing Avengers: Endgame’s record haul in China) is coming to UK screens. CMC Pictures in association with Trinity Cine Asia is proud to present the film in IMAX 3D from 30th August and UK & ROI cinemas from 6th September. The family film, inspired by mythology and adapted from a Chinese novel, boasts stunning visuals which took over 20 animation studios and 1600 animators in China to create.
Scarborough UK Premiere announced and in cinemas from 6th September
Scarborough, a moving story of forbidden love from the producers of Lady Macbeth, is released in cinemas from 6th September by Kaleidoscope Entertainment, with the premiere and Q&A on the same date at The Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. The film stars Jodhi May (Netflix’s The Witcher), Jordan Bolger (Peaky Blinders), Edward Hogg (Jupiter Ascending) and Jessica Barden (The Lobster, The End of the F***king World). Adapted from the acclaimed play by Fiona Evans, it is written and directed by Barnaby Southcombe (I, Anna).

Steven Berkoff's Harvey receives screenings + Q&As
Following his hotly discussed performance of Harvey at The Playground Theatre in London, with a recent DVD release, British stage and screen legend Steven Berkoff is bringing the filmed version of his acclaimed one man performance to selected cinema screens, with accompanying live Q&As. The first event has been confirmed for 15th September at the Genesis cinema in London, with further screening announcements to follow.

Craig Fairbrass and Robert Glenister join UK crime thriller, Villain
Craig Fairbrass (Muscle, Rise of the Footsoldier) and Robert Glenister (Curfew, Live by Night) have joined the cast of UK crime thriller Villain, the feature debut of Philip Barantini, which has started shooting on location in London. The film follows a former criminal’s release from prison, and his attempts to help his family by reconnecting with his daughter and clearing his brother’s debt.

Filming underway for British comedy, Brighton
Filming has been underway for new, dark British comedy Brighton, starring Larry Lamb (The Hatton Garden Job, Eastenders), Phil Davis (Vera Drake, Riviera), Lesley Sharp (Scott & Bailey, The Full Monty), Marion Bailey (Mr. Turner, The Crown) and Adjoa Andoh (Invictus, Brotherhood). It’s co-written and directed by Stephen Cookson (Stanley, A Man of Variety, My Angel) and adapted from a stage play by Steven Berkoff (The Borgias, A Clockwork Orange).
Brighton is due for release in spring 2020.
